Around 700 people work for South Yorkshire Probation Area. Most are employed directly in the supervision of offenders as a probation officer, probation service officer or administrative officer.

We also employ managerial staff, groupwork tutors, hostel (approved premises) workers, victim contact officers, IT specialists, finance, human resources and other key support posts.
